Kreston Welch has been the high school and college & beyond pastor at Alderwood since September 2003. He has a great passion for students, desiring to make relationships and help disciple every student that comes to ASM. Kreston's greatest focus is to teach the importance of God's Word in everyday life and give students the desire to dig into the Bible on their own. Apart from serving at Alderwood, Kreston loves spending time with his wife, Denise, and their four children: McKenna, Ethan, Noah and Aidan.
Cory
Cramer
Worship Leader
Cory Cramer has been involved with ASM since August of 2003. From running middle school youth group events to being a part of the worship band, God has given Cory a heart to serve. He is now leading worship for the high school group and continuing to disciple students. Cory is passionate about music and is a singer/songwriter for the band Dynamik in addition to service at Alderwood.
Jena
Nielsen
Administrative Assistant
Jena has been part of ASM since her senior year at Kamiak HS when she joined a Bible study. After graduation, she became a middle school leader and eventually a high school small group leader. Jena attends SPU and is entering her senior year studying Christian Theology and Educational Ministry. Her love of organization and detail has been a welcome addition to our team. Her love for the Lord, His Word and the girls of ASM is evident.
Rene Ramos
Intern
Rene has been a student at ASM since his sophomore year and is very excited for the discipleship opportunity as the ASM intern for the upcoming school year. A graduate of Kamiak HS in 2006, he is currently a student at the University of Washington studying business, but has not ruled out the possibility of going into ministry. Rene looks forward to guiding the students of ASM in their walk with God, and encouraging them to crave His word. Rene enjoys warm summer days, Husky football, and an occasional slice of pecan pie.
Katie
Brister
Katie has been part of ASM for 8 years, having been invited to a program in her high school years. A senior studying philosophy at the UW, she revels in drawing students into meaningful, engaging conversation about her very real faith that is a model to those who spend time with her. Katie is always encouraging to those around her and very well loved; she fits in perfectly as the director of women’s ministries for ASM. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and reading a "bevy" of books.
